Corrections policy
If you find a factual error in a piece by Daily News Opinion, please tell us. We take accuracy seriously even on opinion pieces.
How to flag an error
Reach us via the contact page with the article URL and what you believe is incorrect. Include a link to the verifying source when possible.
How we correct
Substantive factual errors are corrected at the top of the affected article, with a note explaining what changed and when. The dateModified field in our article schema is updated so search engines can re-crawl the latest version. Minor typos are fixed silently.
Retractions
In rare cases — when a piece's premise is invalidated — we retract rather than rewrite, leaving a note explaining why. URLs remain stable; we don't remove articles to hide mistakes.
